MOTORS FOR VARIABLE VOLTAGE DRIVE – VVC

(VARIABLE VOLTAGE CONTROL) – ACVV

VVC drivers are electronic speed control devices that drive motors by varying the voltage as a function of load/speed requirements to ensure smooth operation of the lift for speeds of up to 2.5 m/sec. The high speed winding is used for standard operation, with the low speed winding is used for braking, powering it with direct current. During all operating stages – such as acceleration, steady speed, deceleration and positioning – are controlled. The MCV range of motors is specifically designed for this application, bearing in mind the increased heating and higher engine noise resulting from this type of drive. For this type of drive, since running is controlled in all stages, additional flywheel masses ar not required or can be reduced compared to a full voltage drive. Breakaway torques and currents are as follows: high speed: Ma=2.4 Mn, Ia=3.8 Tolerance -0+10% ow speed: Ma=1.5 Mn, Iamax=1.5 Tolerance -0+10%. The braking torque is about 2.2-2.4 times the rated torque. Rated currents and torques are indicated in the respective selection tables.
